We met on the first day of college at CSU and became instant friends—we’ve been best friends ever since. One of the first things we bonded over was our shared love for animals of all shapes and sizes.
Sophomore year, we adopted a senior cat and gave her all the love we could during her short but special time with us. By junior year, we dove headfirst into fostering dogs, and it quickly became a huge passion for both of us. We didn’t shy away from the tough cases either—we took in medical cases, litters of puppies, and just about anything in between.
Over about a year and a half, we worked as a team to foster more than 50 animals, helping each one find their forever home. We cared for dogs and cats of every shape, size, and personality, and we truly loved taking in any animal in need—especially those at risk of euthanasia.
But that’s really just where the story begins.
“I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with African Mastiffs and have always had a soft spot for the giant dogs. These days, I have a silly black cat named Tokyo who I absolutely adore. Gabby was actually the one who got me hooked on how amazing cats are—and now I’ll shamelessly admit I’m a ‘crazy cat lady’.
After college and fostering, I started and offering services through Rover—dog walking, check-ins, long overnight stays, the whole deal. I’ve pretty much always found ways to be around animals.
Now with Plus One Pets, I want to be there for people on one of the most special days of their lives—helping their best friend be part of it without the stress.”
