We are Sterling and Gabby!
We met on the first day of college at CSU and became instant best friends, quickly bonding over our shared love for animals. By sophomore year, we adopted a senior cat and gave her a loving home during her final chapter—an experience that shaped everything that followed.
Junior year, we began fostering dogs and never looked back. We welcomed medical cases, litters of puppies, senior pets, and animals at risk of euthanasia, providing patient, compassionate care through every stage of their journey. Over the course of a year and a half, we fostered more than 50 dogs and cats, working hands-on with animals of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
That foundation of professional animal handling, trust, and adaptability is what ultimately led us to create our wedding pet concierge service—ensuring pets receive the same thoughtful care on one of life’s biggest days.
“I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with African Mastiffs and have always had a soft spot for giant breeds—especially rescue dogs. These days, I share my life with a rescue Great Dane named Athena and a silly black rescue cat named Tokyo, who I absolutely adore. I’m also currently fostering dogs, which keeps my heart (and house) full.
After college and fostering, I started and offering services through Rover—dog walking, check-ins, long overnight stays, the whole deal. I’ve pretty much always found ways to be around animals.
With Plus One Pets, I get to show up for people on one of the most meaningful days of their lives, making sure their pet feels safe, loved, and fully included—without the stress.”

“Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From bringing homeless kittens home as a child to fostering 75+ animals between 2020-2025, I have always been passionate about the human-animal bond. This passion has led me to my career in veterinary medicine where I get to handle and interact with various animals every day. Although I only have one sweet cat of my own, I have had the pleasure of working with animals with a plethora of different needs and behaviors on various different levels. I am so excited to take this knowledge base to a new realm with Plus One Pets! What better way to facilitate the human-animal bond than to include your best friend on your most important day. "
